Help!!! I have tried about 8 times to defeat these guys, but keep getting my ass kicked when they cast their time stop and invunerability (not sure what the exact spell is) spells - all tactics greatfully received!

I have just recently installed Throne of Bhaal, and am replaying the game with a different set of characters. However, I cannot seem to complete many of the quests in chapter 2, as the people I need to speak to are all busy.

Is this some bug, or am I missing something.
