How about the Red Dragon Scale that is actually better (+2 and magical portenctoon and 50% fire resistance.

Does anyone knoe if there's any better armour for mages or thieves in the game?
Imoen kicks ass with this but I was wondering if there's anything similar to give Aerie? My mages tend to get the shit kicked into them if any enemies drop behind my front line (Majorly Hard Paladin from BG1 ST19 DX17 ...
