I chose the two-weapon style for the pre-generated ranger (Soveliss) and now that I grasp the conditions for dual-wielding (as well as having a higher level character), he's been starting to put out. Is there much merit to taking two-weapon defense? Are there any other feats I might try?

Thanks. Would this entail uninstalling-reinstalling ToEE then, as you said Patch 3 resists tinkering?

I have downloaded and run the sanctioned 1.1 patch and "patch #3" for ToEE. I had hoped patch #3 would fix the looting bug that has been bothering me, but now that I've unzipped it, the game will no longer load- the screen fades to black, then returns to my desktop. Has anyone seen this before?

... what have people found to be the most effective parties, assuming five are used and the party alignment rule is obeyed? I'd like to play through this game without nitpicking over the stats like I always do when creating my own PCs.
