quest order ***SPOILERS***
I've done BG2 a bunch of times, too.
I like to rotate NPCs, and try to get as many in as possible, so the order in which I do the quests depends on the order I pick up the NPCs.
Also, I do the Athkatla quests while waiting for timed events to occur, in random order ...
