Using bow and arrow to duplicate items? (Poss. spoilers)

I probably shouldn't even be asking this, but last summer I remember seeing a thread that explained how you could go to the invetory screen while you have an arrow nocked, attempt to drop or unequip the bow (or the arrows, or something!) then drop any item. When you went back to the game screen, you ...

I totally agree that having chaeleon armor over 100% is a game breaker. If you are a person who enjoys that kind of thing though...it's AWESOME! I mean, you can walk around and bump into people and push them and they don't even seem to notice. What's more, you can get into sneak mode and hit them ...

Yeah, I didn't think it was connected, but even without giving bonuses to the enchantments, it evens the field between light armor AR and heavy armor AR. So, if you do manage to master light armor AND you find a full set of glass armor, it's just as good as daedric, only lighter. Come to think of it ...

In regards to Fingers of the Mountain spell. Don't level up too high, or you'll get the greatest spell that you will never use. I got a shock spell that does 140 damage for 5 or 15 ft (can't remember which). The problem is that it costs just over 700 magicka to cast. I only have 427 total magicka ...

I'm 99% certain it is just for the AR. My armor had +10 str on it and when I hit master level, that didn't change. There was also no change on the ammount I could carry, which should have gone up if the enchantment got a 50% bonus.

I had to go with glass, and the deciding factor for me was in the skill bonuses:

Heavy armor AND light armor-
Novice has armor degrade at 150% normal rate
Apprentice has armor degrade at normal rate
Journeyman has armor degrade at 50% normal rate

Heavy armor only
Expert's equipped heavy armor ...

The zombie thing is just too much fun to pass up to a boy raised on George Romero movies.
I've never denied being "not quite right." If I were in "Braveheart" I'd be that Irish guy who claimed to own Ireland. (I know, off topic.) I've read your posts too, yrthwyndandfyre, and I'm not the only ...

[QUOTE=UncleScratchy]I enchanted a daedric bow with Weakness to Poison with the hope that it would make my arrows poisoned with potions (damage health, damage strength, burden, etc.) be more effective. Unfortunately I have no way of knowing if it is working. Weakness to fire, frost, shock would ...

King of the hill

The best time I had playing was when I first entered Kvatch, before I got to Maritn. I had leveled up a bit too quick on major skills like Alchemy, so I was leveled up, but not too powerful (I know, huge mistake!) By the time I got to this point in the quest, everything was ...

I don't know, maybe this is a lame way to find where to get the spells you need, but I just go to the spell database on the main page for this site. You just pick the spell you are looking for and it tells you everywhere you can get it, as well as how powerful it is, the duration, and the cost ...

If you are able to enchant items, then I would suggest getting some good light armor, elvish or glass, and then enchant it with chameleon. If you can get your total chameleon up to or over 100%, it's the same as being invisible (I think it's even better, personally) and your sneak skill will start ...

In the words of the comic book-sales-guy from The Simpsons, "Best game story ever!"
I must admit that I did hack-n-slash my way through the dread zombies. I managed it, with some difficulty, with a strong batch of restore health and restore fatigue/shield potions. I also found that I had the best ...

You pick locks without looking, by the sound? :speech: Well, my hats off to you, blind master. You must be the Mr. Miyagi of picking locks. I'm going to try your technique, so thanks for the suggestion. I save before picking anyway, so I suppose it couldn't hurt to try.

In regards to races, I generally play a Breton. I like the Magicka bonus (50pts) plus the 50% resistance to Magicka. I feel that, if I play someone using a lot of Magicka, the bonus is great, but if I'm more of a fighter, then the inborn ability to resist that Magicka being used against me is great ...

Sorry 'bout that. Point well taken.

My buddy asked to get his two cents in on the name question -- his character's name is always Disastro. In his opinion, the name fits if he becomes one of the toughest bullies on the block, or gets his hat handed to him in the first five minutes. (I suggested he ...

Luck supposedly affects everything you do in the game. That's why every race, male and female, begin at 50. Your luck is in balance. I have found that having a high luck is important to a character, but since its effect is all encomasing and you can't really quantify it, it could be all in your ...

Being as boring as I am, I have used the Japanese name Otomo for about twelve years. You know, a sword, a Japanese name, and a dream of being a samurai.

Where to find the "Jone" heavenstone (spoiler)

This is the info I used to find the heavenstone (or doomstone)
A simple/early way to get Fortify Skill is the "Jone" doomstone. You can do it at level 1 (or 2).
Jone Stone:
- In the forest between Chorral and Skingrad. South of Weatherleah, north of ...
