With some quests, the reward you get depends on your charisma. Sometimes the only reward is experience.

This sounds like a bug. However there are some triggers for causing them to attack such as picking up wardstones. Some trigger things, some APPEAR not to. Not too sure whether they do or not.

If you have level 1 NPCs installed there is an option that makes their experience more closely match that of your character. That seems more logical to me.

Firstly, the goodberry spell is pretty pathetic unless you have the mod that improves it.

No you can't sell Xan's sword, but if you are the same alignment, race etc. as Xan, you may be able to use it, depending on what mods are installed.

I think that there is a mod that gives you a rod of refuge which enables you to go to a room for rest and storage of valuables. When I know a bit more I'll let you know, but you should be able to google it yourself.

It's worthwhile doing the top one or two floors at that stage. Some nice items that save hassle such as the infinite number of arrows and bolts, so what you've done is fine!
