It won't work actually. When I was lvl 14, I was lacking 1000+ XP to reach lvl 15, and tried that with the dryads. They gave me 4 XP each ! Same for the dwarves.
So no, you won't level up as fast with this method, as you would by playing the game.

Search for (shadow over) daggerford, a VERY good module.
