Yuan-ti Temple phrases (spoilers)

Hi
I'm in the Jungles of Chult (from Kuldahar) and want to enter the Yuan-ti Temple.

This is my second play-through. Last time I pretty much just annihilated the lot of them (I had a paladin with me then and couldn't use the robes).
However, I read that, if you sneak up on the priest Sashkta and ...

Missing goblin - docks

Hi
This is my second run-through of the game, this time with Domi's NPC pack. I also have G3's tweak pack installed.

I'm still on the Targos docks and seem to have misplaced a goblin. Walking around the cave, I hear the sound they make before they attack, but nobody actually attacks. Talking to ...

In my experience, the equipment gets dropped where the NPC gets kidnapped, namely at the entrance to the graveyard. Sometimes that can be hard to see because of the columns there. And if everything is in a bag it might be even more difficult, especially at night. Hold down your ALT key to see if it ...

Weapon speed

Hi
This is a total noob question but it just occurred to me that I have no clue what the speed factor of any given weapon actually signifies. I've assumed that things like two-handed swords and crossbows are slower, but exactly how?

Is a speed factor of 4 better or worse than two? How exactly does ...

Yes, he was in the wrong temple, right inside the entrance. He told me to meet him in the other temple, for whatever reason. Eventually I thought to go back to see if he got stuck and, sure enough, he was still hanging around the other temple. So we had our talk about the quest there.
Strange, in ...

missing a priest

Hi
I seem to have lost a priest of Helm. After listening to the Eyeless priest try to convert the pedestrians in the Temple district, the Helm priest asked me to meet him in his temple.
However, when I get there (going to that platform on the left where he usually is) there is no one there except a ...

I've not had any trouble with Minsc, either. What is he wearing/wielding? I usually have him use Lilacor for quite a while.

I like Jahiera at higher levels but I don't use her as tank - she does well with a sling. If you need another tank I'd suggest Korgan. She has one spell I particularly like ...

What on earth is questionable about Anomen's preferences? Seemed pretty straight-forward to me last time I romanced him.

Dude:
Thanks, I knew how to solve that little quest, but it just seemed kinda pointless to me because I was expecting something ELSE down there. Didn't even occur to me to try to ...

Lucy and dogs

This may contain some spoilers, but they are probably of little consequence to the gameplay.

There is a wyvern of some sort on the upper level of the Adventurer's shop in the promenade. I think she's called Lucy? A little on the grumpy side, she doesn't seem to have any particular purpose. Is there ...

I thought I read somewhere that you're stuck if you blow your cover or don't finish the quests you were given (causing your escape to be cut off and everyone going hostile).

you may need to find the cheat codes and move your group into another area manually. Make sure they are all selected when you ...

Yep, I'm using the no-traps cheat. Been through the game a few times and, knowing where they are, they are now just tedious things that slow the game. I'll just pretend I disarmed them. I am finding locked doors, though, so I don't know about a no-locks cheat. However, most doors seem to give in ...

not enough mage power?

Hi
Started a new game. I like to play mages, but the way this group is coming together I may only end up with one. I wanted to pick up Edwin, but on the way there ended up with Viconia in his place. So now I have:
PC fighter
Minsc fighter
Anomen cleric fighter
Xan mod mage (friendship path)
Kivan ...

I stumbled into some Yoshimo spoilers because I read some articles on choosing characters, so I knew what was going to happen, more or less. That pretty much spoiled Yoshimo for me and I never spent any time warming up to him. My mages double as ranged fighters so he didn't seem all that important ...

You might have accidentally annihilated an innocent bystander at some point. An area spell could do it. Happened to me in BG1. Those pedestrians just got in the way, honest.
In BG2 I slapped the elf-hater around a bit and ended up paying for that in alignment points. Didn't notice that for a while ...

Thanks for your reply.
I have completed the Solaufein mod and it's my favourite of the ones I've played. (flirts would be nice - for all their evilness, BG Drows seem to have some interesting, ahem, pastimes :)

You were right about the buff thing being a script. It worked as you described a few ...

I wouldn't be too purist about reloading if the story lines of the game, especially BG2, interests you.

The story can change in some ways depending on decisions you make. Especially with the Banter or Flirtpack mods, I often reload just to see what responses I get with various conversations. In ...

Question re Solaufein mod

Hi
There doesn't seem to be much going on in the Solaufein forum and I know lots of folks here use mods, so I'm hoping someone can answer this one here.

When playing the Solaufein romance, sometimes he will say "I have seen no one". Not as part of his sound set but in the text box. This tends to ...

Thanks, all

I'll give some of this a go. I do use pause before battles where necessary.
But, quite frankly, I'm a terrible spell caster (and so my IQ might be in question, indeed:laugh: ) and I just love a good brawl, which is why I play a fighter and usually have Anomen and Jahiera join in the ...

You weren't perchance referring to my IQ, were you, Jedisaurus?

Aqua-chan, when I had trouble with the scripts, the mages would actually walk all the way up to their enemy and start casting or slinging while standing right in front of them - as if they considered their ranged weapons/spells to be ...
