I reached Velorien's Altar in Vendigroth, after completing in the right order all other offerings. (Currently I have all the three circles blessings active on me). When I step on Velorien's Altar, I die all the same... usually I both die and get the blessing. Is it due ...

Yeah, well... after reloading, I went back to Caladon via the world map, and he was in his basement. Unfortunately, he dropped from level 50 to 25, and he lost all his gear (nothing really important, though).
