I keep reading that you can give various items to your followers to improve their mood.
However, I played a whole game and never ever did any follower ask for anything. I also tried to give them stuff (snuff, perfume, etc...according to the infos I had read, but it didn't change their mood ...

and if Chukka has gone too far to the tech side that would reduce the effect of the gloves.
Actually, I think that simply being at 0 (no tech/no magic) get you only half of the bonuses of magical items (and similarily, half of the bonuses of technical items, like for instance the electro ring ...
