Its because your starting strenght and intelligense must be over 17.. I think you have some girdle wich gets your strenght up to 19.. .. dont you?

You will encounter much less enemies when soloing.. for example in firkhaags gave when there is a room with vampires.. there will be about 12 if you have 6 characters in your team.. if you solo there will be 3..

Good way is to use your "pocket plain" after killin' its human form.. .. then sleep/heal all your partymembers and kill that draconis.. .. works with most of the hard enemies.. .. ..
