Dear Bayle

Yes we both have ease of use in and both have the same set of options selected in this tool.

For instance the endless scoll case is working well.

We have dumped the potion case now so will likely head off and get a bag of holding from further in the game

Thanks for your help

Drop Outs

Dear All,

My son Alex and I have started a new Baldurs Gate 2 game and are having a problem with the multiplayer game dropping me out.

We have a 2 player game going . Me as an undead hunter paladin and he as a mage fighter thief. Because we only have 2 people your inventory gets filled up quickly ...

Solo BG 2

Dear Thrain

Thanks for your input I will have a chat to Alex and see if what he thinks.

I take your point about the Mage type making it easy. The area effect spells make the character very powerful. This mixed with the virtual invisibility of the thief and the armour of the fighter ...

Solo characters

Dear Deadalready

Further play has proved you correct and we have lost interest in this character now. As you say the 3 discipline multi character is really a party in one character.

We have tended to have fighter and archer based parties and had clerics , magic users and thieves ...

Solo BG2

Dear Amran

Yes game balance is essential , it is a long game and you do not want it to be too easy.

I moded to allow magic rings , cloaks, and armour which really helps with your armour class. I did this because of the importance of making saving throws in solo playing , because the ...

solo play in BG 2

My son Alex and I were looking for a new challange in BG2 so we decided to start a party of 2 with just a fighter and a half elf mage / fighter /thief.

The multi class character was so effective that we wondered how it would go on its own.

We loaded some ease of use mods to allow some stacking etc ...

Thanks

Dear Brynn

Thanks for the tip, I was fairly sure it was not intentional on there part but we have come upon some shaddy characters before such as the werewolves pretending to be merchants (?) near the crash site of the air ship.

We have loaded an earlier game and will continue to help ...

Wandering Village attacks us

Dear All

We are about 1/2 way into a game of Icewind dale2 and doing the fell wood quests on behalf of the occupants of the Wandering Village.

We had just returned to the village and one of the party noticed that they had a energy drain so he tried to fix it with a dispell magic.

On casting this ...

Dear Thog

I have just had a quick look at pocket plane again and I can see what you are saying.

May I suggest that you post a question either here or on the pocket plane forum advising what BG game you have and I am sure that someone will guide you through. People at both Banshee and Pocket Plane ...

BG Tutu

Dear Curry and Erenor

The answer to all your questions will be found in the link that Andyr has in his comment above. It takes you to a BG game development site called Pocket Plane. I would expect that this name is taken from the plane that exists in Throne of Bhaal.

Anyway at Pocket ...

Dear Andyr

Thanks , it was very much your help that got us through the loading and allowed us to overcome the ( in retrospect) small technical issues.

Thomas 77 , in answer to your question on what is Tutu. It is a software modification that allows you to play BG 1 through the BG2 engine. The ...

BGTUTU is Great

Dear All

Just a note to say how much fun we have been having with Tutu. The list of features is too long to mention but it is as if BG 1 is a prelude to BG 2.

We started a game and picked up some new NPC's including Finch who is real fun. Kevan as a Ranger Archer Kit is very solid too.

We have ...

Problem with Tutu

Dear Andyr

Well we have had another go at this and still get the drop out on any movement from the area below the Friendly Arm inn. We have tried exiting in each direction but the game always crashes. Interestingly the crash is delayed if you are waylaid by enemies. However the ...

Error with TuTu pack and Throne of Bhaal

Dear BG Forum

We have just loaded the BG1 TUTU pack to go through to Baldurs Gate the Original Saga and all was going well in the outskirts of CandleKeep.

A problem occured that dropped the game out, we loaded a couple of times but it kept happening.

So we loaded the current BG2 Throne of Bhaal ...
