Technically, both sides betray you somehow. Bohdi in the Asylum I believe, and Linval by hiring the ship captain, and even admitted that he betrayed you. I enjoyed the Shadow Theives much more though.

Didn't Bioware lose the rights to do the D&D series under Interplay anymore, or was that changed/never true? I say this, because look at Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. It still carried the Interplay name, but it was done by Snowblind studios, not Bioware.

What size install you have? I do the full install all the time, so all the files are on my harddrive already. If you don't have full install, check that disc. Have you had problems with that disc before? Is there a scratch on the disc? Can you skip the movie once it's done the first time through ...

Can you not change your screen rez? That may help, or play the game in window mode.

I notice at the top the the BG2 bugfixes page, the webmaster states that none of the bugfixes/Tweaks and Cheats are to be installed over BG2: ToB, for it may corrupt the install, and a full reinstallation may be required. The ranger may have Stealth, but that's all he's go going for him.

With the Cleric Multiclass, you get more clerical spells than the Ranger does, and with the fighter class, you can furhter specialize with a weapon.

Ranger/Cleric is no good.

You are speaking blasphemy! Baldur's Gate is what started it all!! I find that BG is better in the RPG sense that BG2, even without all the extra doo-dads of BG2!

I know it's hard to believe the title, but bear with me, ok? Just recently, after beating the Baldur's Gate games, I've put some thought into the choices of titles for all the games. I am a big person on choosing good titles. The titles for some of these games bug me. Mainly the BG series.

Regarding sequels and junk. I personally think that the BG series could have been done a bit better in just doing the titles.
