I like the IWD series, but they don't compare at all to the BG/NWN series IMO. An IWD II mod would require:

* Less linearity
* More personality / humour
* More character interaction / joinable characters
* Bigger cities that actually immerse you.

I'd love to see a storyline that involves the Harpers and Gorian, as a non party joinable character, so you witness Bhaal walking the lands and the plot could centre around stopping his worshippers from committing some great evil or around trying to stop the Bhaalspawn being murdered at birth ...

you said he spoke to you first, so surely it is possible to get 4 of the rings? I have 2 from pickpocketing him the first time round, it comes in handy
Yeah, pickpocketing him before you kill him is a handy way to take advantage of a game flaw... so it's not exactly cheating. :D

4 Rings of Gaxx ...

That's pretty cool - I haven't had much experience using evil parties in BG2 because unless you have mods installed, they're aren't too many evil NPCs which you can use - Jan can be used as a thief despite being neutral, but there's only 1 evil NPC tank (Korgan). But I should really play TDD with an ...

Haha, that is a pretty funny scenario, and probably another reason why I haven't used a wild mage before. ;)

Kangaxx is not a pleasant creature to have appearing on your doorstep. :D

I'm a fan of the Storm/Nature build. Storm mastery has some very potent spells. I tend to use maxed out ice shards most of the time

I mainly use the nature mastery for healing and a few other minor things. Since I've only just beaten the game on normal difficult, I haven't really explored nature's ...

If first got into the Pen and Paper role playing games when I was a kid still living in South Africa. It was 1990 and the game was dungeons and dragons, and I really enjoyed it, but when I moved to England in 1993 I stopped playing, and spent more time getting drunk.

Anyways, I recently got the 3 ...

Ok in this thread say who your favorite villain is, or least favorite. What kind of enemy do you hate the most? Who do you like the most, would you want to become allies with them and be evil?

So heres an example. My favorite villain is Yxonomei. I like her because shes so badass epecially when ...

Baldur's Gate I and II are my favourite games ever - they have elements in such great detail that other games don't - the personality/storyline, the intricate art/music, the capturing storyline...

If a BG III was made, it would seriously change my life, provided that it was made up to standard. The ...

I'm pretty disappointed with NWN2. Baldur's Gate I and II are my favourite games ever, IWD was good but nowhere near BG and I thought NWN1 was a really good game.

NWN2 has some great ideas - I love having my own castle. However it is badly coded and there are WAY too many bugs. I've spent a fair ...

Maybe I'm a bit old fashioned, but I like these intros for the most part. Candlekeep was pleasant and not too long. Irenicus' Dungeon was a lot of fun the first time around - it's only when I'm replaying BG2 that it annoys me.

I've played Heroes 2 and 3 to death.

I played MM7 a fair bit but gave up when I lost the CD image. Also, I had problems with aging too quickly in the game and losing stat points because of it. If anyone can offer a solution to this problem, I'm all ears.

I bought MM8, but haven't played it much.

I'm definitely a roleplayer. If I'm in a powerplaying mood, I'll go and play a purely hack and slash game like Titan Quest. Baldur's Gate II is perfect for roleplaying.

Crom Faeyr is definitely worth making - I can however see why you might want to keep the individual parts with some party arrangements.

The 25 strength bonus makes it a blatant tool of asskickery. Dual wielding it with Celestial Fury is amazing. If only humans could have 3 arms, I think my char ...

NWN2 disappoints me - it's riddled with bugs (many of them game-stopping) and the patches just make it worse. I've managed to conquer them all so far.

The funny thing is that I had your problem just half an hour ago as this is my first time playing NWN2. My problem was that I was walking around the ...
