I downloaded editor and chanced numbers on my player but when I go back to the game and load nothing has changed what am I doing wrong? Thank You

I know where to get the editor but where do I download it onto my computer. Does it have to be downloaded to a specific file?

I am stuck at the water jump and have finally given up and am willing to use the editor. Where do I download the editor to and how do I use it to get across the water jump? Thank You

I am playing CE. When ever I try and leave Fargrove1 from any gate I receive the following error and the game locks up (TerrQuad.ReadTerr.OBjFileInfo::Invalidslot#25) I have emailed tech support and have not heard from them yet. Any ideas?
