Most of the "supporting" armor types like Boots or Gloves don't have any armor bonuses (+0) - why should one buy such stuff?

When battling the Zombies in the Moathouse, I always see "0 HP" when my chars hit. All have blunt weapons like Maces or Warhammers. Are Zombies immune to blunt weapons?

I'm playing the Game with official Patches 1-3.

Unfortunately, I can't get the Marek Conversion to work.
