yeah all computers are running to the same modem i have changed cables around so i know the problem is isolated to the one pc however since i reformated the harddrive i dont really know what else to do

well i cant actually get the speed test to finish it is that slow. it is not a problem with the isp because the internet works at the speed it should on the other computers (round about 160kb per second) while my desktop chugs along at around about 6-10kb per second. i will try the speed test again ...

just my two cents is to get the 8800gt it is better faster cheaper however it has less ram so its worse for high res games but 8800gt is a better choice also alot smaller!
