When all seems lost,
I found a MOD on TEAMBG to Baldurs Gate 2 ; THE DARKEST DAY.... (TM) :)

AND it rocks, a whole new experience and my faith in BG2 is back,
- at last the words rang true....

and its MORE.....

THE TOWER OF IRONWILL is coming up....

have your romance char in the game become a vampire ?

have you KILLED Bohdi with stakes ( place the marker alongside with the Coffin and a Sword will apear ) - kill bohdi with a stake
and ressive a lot of EXP.....

have you tryed to cheat ? ( that is cheating ) (...)

I never said anything of Arcanum , witch is a really good game...

On the other hand:

BG 1 rule ok, its the wide-open-landscape that is so good in the first BG, -but in BG2 becomes a broken dream:
