Evil characters in good parties

Howdy,

Is it possible to have Edwin or Viconia remaining with a party with a Heroic rep? I'd like to try a game with a party I've never played before.

I remember on my first BG2 game I was able to have Korgan all the way without him ever leaving or even complaining (besides the normal comments ...

I am having the same problem, both in IE 7 and FF. Only Opera doesn't have the issue. I was thinking that it's related to my aggressive blocking of ads via the hosts file. But I do not know for certain. Quite a pain in the head, since IE is my main browser.

There's another problem, even more ...

Lathander Temple quests (SPOILERS)

Howdy,

How much do you have to wait for Lara to reappear after the advice-seeker comes back to tell you how your counsel worked for him? I have rested twice after the dwarf came and Lara is still nowhere to be found.

TIA

LOL, a year and a half later.

I got to finish the game by just not using the scopes on weapons. That did the trick. It was reported somewhere that this game had issues with drivers, which I think it was the case in this situation. ATi has several problems with its drivers and games, and it's not ...

Multiclassing and quests

Hi,

I have never multiclassed in this game as I've always played human characters. I was wondering just how good multiclassing is. Right now I am rolling an elf cleric, but I was wondering if I should multiclass to fighter or even mage.

Also, since this character is gonna be migrated to BG2 when I ...

Intelligence is important. It determines the amount of choices you get in dialogue. In Fallout if you had a very lower intelligence some NPCs would refuse to talk to you. I don't know if this is the same in BG, or if your char can be deemed as stupid because of low intelligence. I'd never go with ...

Importing portraits

Hi, I installed BG and am pretty much ready for my third spin through this game. Yet, the portraits are not to my liking, and I was wondering how can I import the portraits from Icewind Dale to Baldur's Gate or if that's even possible. Anyone knows?

TIA

So, what's the minimum value for the DEX stat I need in order for my paladin to profit from the Parry feat?

Aye, indeed. 'Tis nice to see I'm remembered. :)

Ahh, parry skill. What's the deal with that one? I dunno how to use it. That time I enabled it my character just stood there, not returning blows. What's it s'posed to do?

Ahoy, Mr.Sticky!

It's good to know a fellow writer. Mind you, I'm in the same process myself here.

I won't comment on your story, rather I'll comment on the work itself. Just a few tidbits, I'm quite whacked today (one of the things writing will do to ya, btw).

Your starting paragraph it's ...

Interesting. Well, I don't really like negative numbers so I did up the DX to 10 the second time I was given a chance to modify main stats. :)

Protect yourself from elemental damage either with the Protection from the Elements spell if you're a magic user, or with the Resistance to the Elements spell if you are not.

(Note: I don't know if a scroll with the latter would work for warriors, as I've never played as one. I know it works for ...

Be also careful with your speech choices when you talk to the shady characters, as you can scare them off. I did that in my first time in the game with the shady one next to the docks in Port Llast; when he told me that I "looked like a person who knows how to live in the shadows," I replied "I take ...

I gave myself the same game as a Xmas gift and am playing with practically the same configuration for my paladin (I always play as a paladin), 'cept that I had 15 ST and 9 DX, but that wasn't much of a problem since you can up the stats later in the game as you level up, and since ranged weapons ...

They will start exploding as soon as they are close to you. And, yes, you will take damage. I don't remember how many cows are there nor how much damage each explosion deals to you, but you can lose lots of hit points, and if you are already weakened you will die.

Last time I played BG2 I was gonna take the cavalier kit, but then I remembered how annoying is getting levels sucked by those blasted vampires, so I went with the undead hunter kit instead. There are more vampires than dragons anyway. Now, TOB, that's another story, lotsa dragons.

Ohh! Ok, then what I retrieved from Sahuagin city was another halberd. Then there's no need to cheat, I can do without the Wave. Thanks, fellas. :)

Retrieving the Wave blade after losing it

How can I cheat and give myself the blade of the Wave halberd? I did retrieve it from the sahuagin king's corpse but I dunno how I lost it during my trip through the underdark. Anyone?
