I'm quite far through chapter 2 (want as much EXP as possible before moving to Spellhold) and I just went through my quest log to check for quests that still need doing..

Instead of running through with these fancy multi/dual class combinations, why not have a party like this:

Vanilla Thief
Mage/Wild Mage
and a Fighter/Cleric (or just have a Mage/Cleric and leave the fighter as a single)

That way you have a class for each of the problems in the game (traps, locks ...

Pedantic input on the 'backstab' thing.

Firstly, as galraen pointed out, one of the definitions of 'stab' is: Poke or thrust abruptly . Meaning (purely in theory) that you can backstab with any weapon that comes to hand, so stave's are a viable option ...

I've started a new game, and am wanting a little advice.
1st of all, I'll give you the lodown on my party with their main equipment.

Myself: Half-orc Fighter/Cleric 10/10, Flail of Ages, Shield Of Baldurn. (Bad spelling), Boots of Jansenkind.
