I'm surprised how many votes for Jan I see here. From reading on other forums, I had gathered the idea that he was either the most-hated or the most-liked NPC in the game. But this thread seems to put him much more towards the most-liked. With that said, I don't like him. :P

But since this isn't ...

What do you know... a namesake! :D

Sometimes I just have a character go up extra stars for role-playing reasons. IF the person is supposed to be a grandmaster, then he needs the five stars regardless of whether it does him any good.

I like to have all six members because I can. But four or five does work better strategy-wise, I think. I, too, reach the cap most times.

Also, you people who get to the XP cap, do you do every quest, or do you exploit travelling and sleeping in dangerous area's? I have NEVER reached the Xp cap ...

I don't remember how hard he was the first time I went against him (too many years ago :D ) but this last time, he was extraordinarily easy. I did almost every other quest I ...

The first couple times I played, I avoided killing them. The third time I got there, I talked to them, then left. I almost made it to the fifth floor when I decided to go back and slaughter them. After all, if I'm going to get blamed for it, I might as well have the fun, right? :D

Don't forget that once you get zapped by lightning, you have to start from the beginning again. I was reminded of that several times. :D

My most embarrassing experience was when I began a game with a sorcerer. I entered one of those bunkhouses and met the would-be assassin in there -- only this time he was no "would-be". I couldn't believe it when Carbos gutted my PC on his first strike. That's the only time he's ever managed to kill ...

I also have a game going without any mages or sorcerers (3 druids, 1 thief, 1 ranger). I haven't been playing that party for awhile, but I found that at least in the first half of the game, a mage isn't really necessary. Backstabbing and insect plague work wonders...especially if you have three ...

I think the neeber would be a good party companion. With the only drawback that he constantly interjects statements that interupt your battles.

Untill you kill him at least!

I can't remember where, but I read about a mod NPC named Naber. Even if you refuse to let him join your party, he ...

The ranger would work, too. But my intent is just to have someone -- ANYONE -- replace Mazzy. ;)

The first one I can think of is Garrick. I find him to be SO much more tolerable than Haer'Dalis that he should be the one available in BG2. Of course, maybe that's because he didn't say much in BG.

I would also like to be able to save Shadow Patrick and use him in place of Mazzy. I can just ...

That problem occurred quite often for me in BGII (I used it to give Valygar two Celestial Furies :D ). One of the patches or something fixed it because it no longer happens (Baldurdash?). I've never encountered this problem in Tutu though. So, somewhere there's a fix that will take care of the ...

Yes, it depends on the charisma of your character. I'm not sure, but the presence of certain other characters may also affect whether or not you get it.

It doesn't matter what country he's from. Lets say he wrote in his national language, that'd be a lot better dialog probably because it's his native tongue. Using colloquialisms in a language you aren't completely fluent in doesn't work.

Actually, I think the comics are quite good. Excellent drawing style without being complicated and it isn't dominated with dialogue.

Is that your comic?

If so, I'm gonna be completely honest. It's awful. The drawings are decent, in fact good for a comic's standards, but the dialog often makes no ...
