Ok, I am not trying to sound stupid but, IMO :
Diablo 1 End cinematic - Hero pushes the bloodstone into his head to contain the evil.

Diablo II diablo's death - Diablo dies? where is the bloodstone its in his head when he dies... what if Tyrael thought he could contain it as well?
