Read this preview on this very site:

Too bad you didn't post this a month ago before I threw my copy of Daggerfall away. I too wanted to play the prequels before I played Morrowind...that lasted all of about an hour. First of all, Daggerfall is a DOS based game that can only run on Win98 or less. Second, even on a fast machine it runs ...

Well, I happen to like the game. I think it was worth the money I put down. It does have some quirks that make it boring at times.

You can read the Gamespot review and see how other people have rated this game. They give it an 8.3/8.4, which means that it is a great game.

The graphics and sound ...

I haven' tried this, but I think it should work. There seems to be only one file you need, and that is the one that corresponds to your saved game name. I just stick with Quick Save, so I have two files in My Documents folder. These are Quick-Save.dsqsave and Quck-Save.dsqsave.bak. You might need ...

Demise, have you played Rune or Rune II? That game reminds me of DS. I don't think this game is Diablo like at all. This world is 3D, Diablo isn't. DS is more simplified in terms of stats and skills. It also has a story line. And there are real NPCs with usefull information. It also has quests ...

Delita, you are right! But I was posting only relevant information. That is utterly useless now. Do monsters take damage for walking into the fire? I haven't noticed it. Maybe later on in the game, there are monsters that get up and walk again. I have run into monsters that resurrect, so I guess it ...

Here's my take. I've only played for a few hours now, both multi- and single-player equally. I'm just as far as the Westin Cross. My single player started as kind of an all-around player, but lately I've only been able to survive with combat magic. My character is thus: melee2, ranged1, nature1 ...

In single player games, you can die. When you die, you have to reload your saved game. To resurrect people, you will need to buy a resurrect scroll (not the spell). Anyone can use a scroll as long as they have the mana to do so. I think resurrect requires 30 mana.
