i didn't see a new bios that said it fixed sound card issues but i was getting the same problem actually worse with the on board sound but as long as i turn sound off in the game it plays fine and thats cool but i need sound still working on it when i get something working ill let ya know

well tried using on board sound and have had worse problems now it just restarts instead of freezing.

thats what ive been trying right now just no audio at all and seeing how it works
played for 30 mins with no problem but i've played for an hour before with no problem
next test is onboard audio

done that too i removed the drivers for the sound card so i could move it slots on the computer because there were irq problems but that didn't fix it either

the beep is coming from the speakers plugged into the sound card

I just don't feel that it is an overheating issue because the game keeps playing and the keyboard semi responds but the sound card makes that noise and i lose the mouse im gonna try some other stuff still

actually i think i fixed it i was skimming my bios and noticed that something with my onboard sound was turned on i don't use that sound cause of the sb live so i turned it off and started to play

well my fans are all blowing cold airs in the right directions im gonna run some more tests but if there are any other ideas people have please share

I just got DS and enjoy playing it for the time I get to play
For some reason Ill be able to play for a while and then itll stop working right and this loud high pitch beep will play and i can't use my mouse anymore
