I'm game for anything, heck I'd even play 2ed if I had to. Though 4ed isn't too difficult to learn, they designed it for people who'd never played the game before so anyone who -has- played previous editions should find it simple to learn. Buying all the books can cost a bit though.

I wouldn't mind running such a game. Assuming we'd just be using chat, the emphasis would be on the actual roleplaying; there'd be combat, but it'd be rp'd to a large extent.
If I were to DM a chat group it'd either use the Forgotten Realms or my own setting, player's choice. And I don't mind 3.5 or ...
