Steam's the best thing to happen to computer gaming in a long time. No worries about losing CDs or software keys, digital manuals, no other DRM, regular sales on popular games, runs in the background without using a ton of resources and as has already been mentioned, can be set to offline mode if ...

Those two levers on opposite ends? They're timed. You have to get the second one switched while the first one is still going. Flip one, make a beeline to the other using sprint (alt key) or the whirlwind shout and you'll make it.

Talk to.... Birna, I think her name was, in the town. She runs the general store. If you talk to her about her business and a bad deal she made, you can buy another of those dragon claw/key pieces from her for 50 gold.

Glitch with Matt de Cesare: no assassin shows up

It's been years since the last time I played arcanum and I decided to fire it up for another play through. Unfortunately, I've run into a bug I remember encountering in previous play throughs but it's been so long I can't remember how I got around it back then.

In Tarant Thom Grak asks you to give ...

It was a rebuttal, Xandax. I disagreed with your personal and subjective opinion, and did so by highlighting case examples that minimize your objections. It was aimed less at you then for the benefit of the thread starter

For the player that wants to be a sorceror/ranger, there's already the perfect class in the game: the Warlock.

It's essentially a ranged combat character that never runs out of arrows. Eldritch blasts scales as you level, so in the end you're 9d6 damage per blast. You can use medium armor (and ...

I picked it up. Not very useful. No real info on NPC sidequests/dialogue/influence gains and losses, no real info on crafting, and limited utility except as a straight walkthrough that misses sidequests left and right.

And me personally, I would not multiclass an arcane spellcaster (save a bard perhaps), simply because getting thoese L7-8-9 spells and slots are important to these classes.

Race: Human
Class: Fighter2/Wiz8/Eldritch Knight 10
9th level spells, a greatsword in one hand with 4 attacks per round with high BAB, some shields and armors with no arcane spell failure, great crafting abilities. Tremendously versatile and one of the powergamer builds.

[QUOTE=tank29]I am going through the game for the first time as a Tremere and I am surprised at how much I use sneaking and Dominate. Trance and Suicide are amazingly powerful. NPCs (humans) do NOT know you cast them (hence the not breaking Masquerade thing) and they either go ga-ga or drop dead. I ...

[QUOTE=RWStagg]I must admit this is probably true....although in a straight up fight it is unlikely the gangrel would get any hits in against advanced celerity. 1. If memory serves, there's a wall lamp in that room you can use which will open a door.

2. The morgue is in the clinic, and yes, it's behind those glass doors. You can get behind them by crawling through the vent system, although I don't recall offhand where the vent entrances in the clinic are ...
