Better post on the SCS II forum. Last time I played the game with that mod I had no problems of this kind.

I actually really liked it. The story, characters and atmosphere were great. It was kinda challenging, so that was also a plus. Thought it was almost as good as OWB. While Honest Hearts was not quite what I expected it to be, personally, I found Lonesome Road to be the most disappointing since it ...

Fallout 2 overall. Fallout 1 had a superior story but the 2nd one beats it almost everywhere else, imo. Tactics felt great for what it was (can't beat JA2 though); Fallout 3 had some great ideas but apparently everything fell apart at some point; FNV was pretty good.

On another note, if anything ...

It's a lot better than Fallout 3. Still this doesn't say much since dog poo is also better than Fallout 3. Not quite like the old games, but occasionally it's somewhat comparable.

It has a rather interesting main quest that can split into multiple paths, your choices matter (most of the time ...

I agree. The story is over. If they resurrect the franchise, at the very least it should have no relation whatsoever to the old games.

With that mod you can acquire Irenicus as an NPC at the end of SoA. I'm just giving you an option if you can't figure out how to do what you originally intended.

He's using a custom character. I guess it would be too much work for you to try replicating it if don't have experience with the modding tools. Better try this mod Spellhold Studios - The Longer Road / Baldur's Gate II Mod

The combat log shows who you attack, damage, experience gained etc. It's located above your abilities bar. You can turn on "show to hit rolls" or something along those lines in the gameplay options, just look for it.

I don't have the game but I remember they said that they've leaned their lesson and the level scaling will be similar to what it was in Fallout 3. So yes, lvl scaling is definitely confirmed.

I'm pretty sure that on enemy mouseover it shows the damage your units are about to do and how many of the enemy troops are gonna die if you attack / cast a spell.
