The NPCs in the game don't *suck*. They all have their individual strengths and weaknesses, and when used correctly, add to any party (yes, even Cernd!).

I think perhaps you are missing out on one of the great strengths of BG2 which is NPC party interaction.

CON scores of > 16 for non-Fighter types are pointless. They don't get the benefit of the extra HPs (check the manual).

Put your extra points into something more useful.

I own BG/TotSC, BG2/ToB, IWD & IWD2. IMHO, the Icewind Dale games are not fit to lick the boots of the BG series.

No - the main problem is that you can't dual TO a kit. You can dual an Archer to a Cleric (in fact the only dual combination allowed).

Dualling a Swashbuckler to an Archer would involve dualling from one kit to another.

I think adding the innate abilities in via SK is going to be your best bet ...

This is my first post in this Forum - so please be gentle with me. I have in my inventory a pair of Silver Pantaloons which I can't seem to do anything with - none of my NPC's seem to know anything about them.

Does anyone know what they're used for?
