How did you backup your saved games? If you backed them up to a CD it will be a read only file. Right click on the files then left click on properties then make sure there is NOT a checkmark in the read only box. :)

If you stop playing the Demo, and play the Full game you can get further and get better weapons than what the guards have. I don't think you can kill the guards. :cool:
