Just my opinion: Didn't matter how I created a bard, I just never could like him or her.

I like my cleric of the mask. I m/c mine into 4 levels of fighter (did that quite late into the game). He kicks butt. The mirror image comes in quite handy, I'm constantly using that. I'm liking a lot of his spells.

I haven't tried any other cleric yet, so I can't compare. I just know I'm liking ...

I've played bg, bg2, iwd, ps:t .. liked them all.
