Good Lord! How do you win the battle with Medae and Isair? SPOILER?

I have not been able to win that battle against those two. I tried attacking them first but get thoroughly trounced by the creatures that are summoned. So now I attack the other people first and seem to be doing a bit better then Medae and Isair finish me off pretty quick. Any suggestions as to how ...
