I want to create a mage character, but his picture looks ugly. I am not fan of beards and dresses. Thief's picture looks far more better. Is there any way to create mage with thief's picture on the inventory screen?

I have installed BG-2 + addon. When I launch the game there is a choice(two buttons) between "Shadows" and "Throne". Question: Are these two different campaigns, with two different characters etc.? Or Throne includes Shadows of Amn? What should I choose?
