Actually the feat is only required to be taken one time. So if used right can be quite proficient

a long sword for a pixie is dropped to a 1d4 not a 1d6. A pixie is a tiny creature not a small so there for it would drop from the 1d8 for a medium size to the 1d4 for a tiny

I had made a pixie fighter for a laugh and i had taken the feat. It actaully made a huge difference when it came to getting big hits against enemies compared to what i would have done without the feat.

This is true you can not use a two-handed sword in one hand using those feats. There is a feat I had found, lighten weapon, it can be taken more then once for specific weapons and it lets you use any weapon as one lower size. So let's say you take the feat for a bastard sword you could then weild it ...
