My combat button is closed, if that is what you mean. Let me try to elaborate. I can move around but only in a portion of the cave. When I try to leave the cave or explore deeper into the cave my cursor turns into an arrow with a red x on it.

I have just entered Shady Sands Cave, and I have already killed the two rad scorpions there. When I try to move further into the cave my cursor changes into a arrow with a red X on.
