Wow thanks! I tried 2000 and it didn't work, BUT I then tried XP SP2, and it worked perfectly, I can load regular saves and quicksaves many times in a row, and it won't crash anymore.

Hi folks. I've been playing IWD 1 for the past few weeks, playing on a Win7 64bit machine, and everything had been working perfectly up to then until I got past the lower Dorn's Deep area. Now, very frequently when I load a save, and more frequently a quick-save, the game will crash to the desktop ...
