Multiplayer problem

Hi folks. Got a problem in multiplay, maybe you can help.

My PC acts as server, and connection is made via TCP/IP. I play 2 chars, a friend brings on another. We can connect and start the game no problem. In the game we can walk around, pause and unpause, get items, talk to NPCs, etc, all without a ...

Worst Party nominations

What do you consider would be the worst party? (Or, if not the actual worst, the people you would least like to have in your party.)
I'd go with:

Cernd - A solid choice. Not much use except when shapechanged.
Haer'Dalis - I don't know how good or bad he is as such, but I wanted to take his ego and ...

LOL

OK, I got to admit I fell for that one. Hook, line, sinker, and fishing rod. I did wonder why no-one seemed to have mentioned it before.

Hey, they would be pretty cool classes to play though. Expansion pack, anyone? Image

Drak - Yes, she is your sister. Yes, she IS part of the story, but not necessaruly so after you rescue her. If she is so important to the story then you would HAVE to take her back after rescuing her, right? The game wouldn't be aloowed to continue otherwise, is that not so? You have rescued her ...

Question for Waverly

In another thread you mentioned that there was a 'command to enable the lich and vampire classes'. I haven't heard of this before. How do you do it?

(I posted this new thread in case you missed it in the other one.)

Why take Imoen back anyway? She will doubtless be much lower level than anyone else in your party, and - more importantly - she is the ONLY NPC you can ditch there who WILL find her way back to the Copper Coronet completely unharmed. (How the heck she manages to do that is another question.) http ...

I've only obtained Nalia's Keep, but am not sure it is worth it. The regular income is of little benefit as you ultimately have to fork stacks of cash to keep the people happy so as not to lose it. By the time you have done all the sub-quests relating to it (which you need to do before going to ...

Viconia's presence in the Underdark has no bearing one way or the other on how your party is treated, as you are all travelling under a false family name anyway. There is no advantage or disadvantage to having her in your party from that point of view.

Ubik - yeah, it's true you can avoid the traps if you're careful by walking close to the left wall, However - in the context of my question - it isn't necessary to walk to the end of the room. You'll miss out on the Ring of Protection but it isn't needed to get out of the dungeon.

BTW, I did a ...

Here's one for the deep thinkers out there. I was just wondering what the absolute bare minimum is to complete the game. There is a lot you CAN do, and a lot that is DESIRABLE to do (for items of equipment and such like), but what is the absolute LEAST you have to do in order to ...

As someone new to the game (and to D&D itself in fact) I'd have to say that Mind Flayers are the absolute pits. There is not an awful lot you can do against them except hope that they don't wipe you out instantly. Even Monks with huge resistances can still fall to them within the blink of an eye. I ...

Disappearing party members (minor spoilers)

(Some minor spoilers included as I need to give examples.)

I don't know if this has come up before but has anyone experienced problems with members of the party suddenly disappearing in combat? By this I mean that: (a) they disappear from sight; and (b) they are no longer in the party at all (their ...

I managed to finish the game with the final party below (the NPCs had been in the group for almost all of the game):

- MONK (Me. Starts out as a reasonable fighter, then becomes an awesome fighter later. Almost unstoppable at higher levels.)
- Korgan (Great fighter, even when not Berserk ...
