Update on this, Just finished the game with my Urgoth. Ended at Lvl 29, armor choices were all deathlord plus black chest armor, helm of lords, dragon shield. Trinket/Rings were mostly speed and damage options. Armor value ended at 90, parry was 39 + 15 trained ranks, strike value was 72. This was a ...

Solved my problem with the inflict by equipping a kama in the offhand. So the kama gets the bleed effect and the main weapon causes a burn and I've seen the critters that survive the initial attacks that are both bleeding and burning. I wasn't interested in doing dual weild with this character to ...

Well, I've only got two or three guys in my stable that wear heavy armor. One was actually a deathlord so I went for the DL set based on that and I haven't payed much attention to the black plate. Given that stat boost I would choose black. I've had several guys wearing full mythnir and for my ...

Interestingly enough, one of my recent characters was tooled up for rune combat with inflict wounds. The only real impact of rune blade was that it seemed to nerf my inflict wounds. Was hard to tell if it had much in the way of a damage boost. By comparision blade of baal seems to have a ...

Yeah some, was a good tactic with the fire drakes for that character. I don't use many summons in general because they catch a lot of AOE which I would normally avoid.

I recenly played through with a Ranger Lord/Adept/Valkyrie and tried to stay true to the ranged combat role. The Ranger heraldry, Brim's horn and hawkeye make the bow a somewhat viable option. I chose Valkyrie to stack the pole bonus for alternate weapons and Adept for the magic weapon skill. I will ...

I'd choose Parry over Strike. You won't miss much against any target but with a higher parry they'll hit you less often which means they'll interrupt your attack less often. I actually make the gear choices based on neither of the three....

For example, given the choice of Imperial Armor, Samurai ...

Inflict Wounds/weapon effect

(CE) I've returned to this game after a few year hiatus and run a few characters through to completion. I'd had some of my characters that have the inflict wounds skill and it seems like when I have a burning effect (blade of baal, rune blade, or my currect character who weilds the diamond light ...
