please help - no summon spell works

I'm playing 1.5 version on Win7. Problem is simple. No summon spell works.

Nothing appears after I summon. Not from scrolls, item invokes, nether spells, celestial spells. There's always the hand movement and then ... nothing. Even with 10 points in the respective spell schools.
