Playing BGEE a few thoughts on the UI
So I will first say that it has been awhile since I've played the original BG1 and I don't really remember a whole about the UI so if it was already in the original - thats great and it was upgraded in the EE so much better.
1) Advance AI - I liked the ...

Shaman run
Hi fellow sell-swords
As my first team is wandering in Durlag tower at the moment, I decided to try and play the new shaman class.
I was lucky when I rolled my half-orc , she (Lady Pai) is rather amazing with 93 points in her stats: 19/18/16/10/14/16 - she is physically powerful at almost 7 feet ...

Re-evaluating Rassad (the monk)
So when my party first encountered Rassad it was quite early in the game - perhaps chapter 2 or so and we were still relatively weak - well at least my Kensai was and then you had the mage. It was not a good time for another micro-managed NPC that you had to keep ...

Ahh Neera....in a random bandit encounter ....she turned me into a wolf - if only she could have done it to the bandits but the spell misfired and here I was a white wolf.

Fun Encounters with NPCs
As I was wandering around the world of BG, I just happened to drop by the Friendly Arms for a quick rest and as I was leaving look who comes and cries about his circumstance .... it is the Drow sorcerer, Baeloth.
If you could see the face clearly, I would imagine him ...

Re: First thoughts on BG:EE run (still playing)
few other random thoughts...
1. Wizard Slayers are secretly awesome, a lot of the bad guys use magic and having a PC that can completely lock them out vastly changes the landscape of those battles.
2. Sword & Shield Style isn't bad either, in a world where missile combat reigns, a bonus to ...

Thoughts on the 4 new NPCs:
Hi fellow sell-swords,
I am trying out all the new NPCs with my first run to see how they play out.
I picked up Neera first - and she was interesting if a bit anxious - because she needed help right away. In terms of entertainment, she plays well but in terms of power ...

Re: help with keeper
Thanks,
I eventually figured that out - how weird that steam would install it like that. I also needed to click the custom save button in setting to get it to work but - ya ! it now works.

First thoughts on BG:EE run (still playing)
Hi everyone,
I currently going through a run of BG:EE - since I just found out that it existed - who would have thought someone would do an update of the classics - so here I am about to start on a run that I haven't played in many years with a new character and class.
After leaving Candlekeep ...

help with keeper
Hi
I recently got BGEE from steam.
I installed keeper and it works (sort of) BUT it cannot find any saved games.
Can anyone provide a solution to this?

Re: IWD: ee - questions
Thanks for the quick reply and the mod suggestion I will check it out.
Quick question - if I buy it from beamdog (download) or steam - can you actually mod it? If mods exist, I imagine there is also a new version of keeper as well - as these compatible with the download version of the game - since ...

IWD: ee - questions
Hi everyone,
I recently just found out that an enhanced edition of IWD and baldurs gate was released and I have some questions about IWD.
a) is there a forum here to discuss IWD: EE? I couldn't find one so I am using the old forum.
b) I imagined someone has played it already - so how were the ...

Don't quit just yet, there are really only a few necessary quests you need to complete in order to get to the final villains - all the small quests and mysteries you can ignore if you want - but you have to get rid of the guardian demons and as such free the slaves so that they can escape (you also ...

The 6 ghost battle is rather difficult sort of -- explanation following: if you are unprepared then you are dead as there is no fleeing the grave yard even if you want to; if you are partially prepared (summoned allies and some buffs) then you have a chance to exorcise these nasty ghosts; if you ...

The worse part of IWD2 has to be Severed Hand chapter, all the errand running has to be the most annoying part of this part of the game and for a last chapter it is really anti-climatic which is a bit sad. Of course there are some nice battles to be had as well if you manage to complete the errands ...

There are actually 3 possible ways to complete the yuan-ti quest but if it seems you want to battle them all and that could be the bloodiest way to complete the quest. As for difficulty in doing it hmmmm without giving anything away lets just say it may be difficult - for a sort of comparison how ...
