No, you may be right. It's just that she has a Read Script skill and also a spell of Decipher Script, so I figured I'd be able to read them.

So I've managed to acquire an awful lot of jewels, jewelry and scrolls (which my sorcerer can't seem to read -- grrr!) but I'm not sure what I should do with them. Are there any I should be keeping? Or should i try to sell/trade them?

I'm doing ok so far at clearing out the moathouse in Hommlet, but after a few battles, my whole party is diseased! I can't afford the 200+ gold per person that everyone in town is charging. Any suggestions?

Oh, thank god! I'm not the only brand-spanking-new player around!

JLewis, you don't need that wizard's permission to go to the moathouse. Roam around and talk to people. Try to get them on the subject and eventually someone will mark it on your map for you. Then you can just click on the world map ...
