You're having a multitude of problems that I've never heard reported before. If you're playing an actual, legal copy of the game, then I'd suggest uninstalling and re-installing it, and if that doesn't work, then look into exchanging or returning it.

I am trying to get to Rowland, but I can't get the door open. It says it can't be picked. My Rogue is a device master and can't get past the lock. Is there a key to unlock the door that maybe I didn't find?
