BTW, 18 con is not necessary for a Thief/Mage, only warrior classes (Fighters, Rangers, Paladins, Barbarians) get a bonus for constitution >16. I was thinking that he might ...

My new evil(ish) Party, Suggestions & Questions
hello, I've finished BG:SOA once as a ranger, taking the 'good route' all the way through.
I'm interested in having another go and not being such an angel this time
I'll either be a Thief, or possibly a thief/mage.
So I won't need Yoshimo or Imoen really.
My planned party will have
Me T/M
Korgan ...

What I did was use 'animate dead' spells to get about 5 undead to use as fodder.
If you use your thief hidden in shadows to find out where exactly Yxunomei is, then retreat the thief and send the undead summons to that spot.
If you don't advance to where she is in sight of your party then the fight ...

Powerful weapons in SoA Chapter 2. [minor spoilers]
I've just finished Chapter 2 and I've got
1) Keldorn wielding Carsomyr - this guy is an absolute beast! I don't get
how anyone could stick with minsc and Lilarcor when they could have this guy
this early in the game.
2) Anomen with big shield and Flail of Ages. He's got 1 proficiency

just to clarify!
In the examples I mentioned in my first post(s), the enemys always had the red circles around them, or else I'd sent Yoshimo hiding in shadows scouting ahead and he'd initiated a conversation with a cyan circle monster/boss, but since he was hidden I was able to make him run back to ...

New Player Questions! [Spoilers!]
Just started playing BG2, enjoying it hugely,
my party is Me (Archer), Minsc, Anomen, Jaheira, Yoshimo, Aerie.
I haven't got too far into the game so far, done some small quests around Amn, and the D'arnise Keep, and Trademeet+Druid quests. But I already have some n00b questions!
