program error when run ICWD2 in XP

i had installed ICEWD2 in XP-sp2
i can play the game .
but when i press 'i' ,there is a small character's appearance in the center of the screen, the program crash.

or when i build a new party, press next step to set up a character's appearance, the program crash.

i don't know why, can someone give me a advice ?

CPU:AMD x64 dule core 3800+
RAM:1G
Display card:Getforce 7300GT 256M.

Sorry...I have NO idea! I've only had problems since I switched to Vista (and really, they don't count since the problem was that my brother DESTROYED disc 2, so I can't install it on my new pc, or play it even if it was installed! )

My solution was simple (get a new copy off of ebay...2.50$+S/H! )...I hope yours is too!

there are 7 options(full screen,transxxx,transooo,softwarexxx,sofewareooo ...) in graphic control

for creating character enable 1,3,4,5,6

for press 'I' enable 1,3,5.
