Bard don't cast spells

Post by Secondchildren »

Hail to everyone!
I need help
I have a character in the party with this stats:

Bard(3 levels)\thief(1 level)
race: tiefling

strg:10
dex:18
sta:11
wis:-9
int:14
char:17

She wears a simple leather armor but even when i try to put this away in the inventory and left her without armor I have the same problem.
And thi is the problem:
I choose two spell at the first level (sleeping and evoking monsters I) and the game says that i hava two empty slots available. But when click on the spell icons to insert them in the slots nothing happens. So my bard cannot cast any spells.
I said I tried to give her no armor too, but its really the same. And I try to sleep many time. Same problem.
What's wrong?
Please, any help is well accepted......I'm begining to be desperate!
cheers

bardspells

Hi there :)

First of all, you dont have to "insert" you spells into free slots like you do with a wizard. Bard spells work the same as for sorcerer, the two you choose for him you know for the rest of the game and you can cast them in any order you wish; ie two sleeps, two summons or one of each per rest period.

Did you start your character as a Rouge("Thief") as level one? Most people do to get the most of the skill points. If so you wont have a spellcasting icon in your quickbar (your icons at the bottom where you have inv slots, skills, special abilities etc). To enable your spell icon, right click on the bar and insert an castspell icon.

You have a high enough Cha score so i cant think of anything else. Be aware that some Heavy armors completely disables your spells but light armors wont as far as i know.

Hope you solve your problem, Bards rock! :D
 Oh, When all else fail, put the Dwarf up front!
