IWD2 Freazing During Character Creation

I am having a problem with it freazing when i get to the point in choosing the coloers for my character. it is brand new the discs are not scratched or any thing can someone help?

It would probably help if you told us more about your system :)
For example, which operating system (XP or Vista?), your graphics card etc.

The reason I say this is because Vista is notorious for not running older games properly, and the newer NVidia cards can cause problems as well.

I had the same problem.i simply installed a patch and there were no further crashes.Here is the link to icewind dale2 2.01 patch. Hopefully it solves your problem :)

i am running windows xp pro on a dell inspiron e1505 with a core 2 duo processor 2 g memory 120g hard drive a top of the line graphics and sound card. i had the game once be for on my laptop and it worked just fine. i even uninstalled a lot of games i was no longer playing just to make sure i had plenty of room on it. my anti-virus is avg 8.0. i have had the computer just over a year.

this is a common bug and patching the game makes it go away
The problem is that the people with the most ridiculous ideas are always the people who are most certain of them.
