Problem with Wands (bug?)

Post by Jugger d »

I have recently loaded up the game again but I have a problem with all wands, I can't equip them and used them and I'm not sure I understand why. When i right click them all it does is give a description, like for the Wand of Frost it says: "Strange key that feels cold to the touch, and that is it. Is it a bug or do I have to do something to be able to use them? I've tried switching them among players but it does no good.

As I recall wands have requirements.

What is your character class and what wand are you trying to use?

EDIT: The item you are trying to use is likely a plot item. Check the last level of Irenicus' dungeon walkthrough for more info.
Sage plays a paladin,
because other classes would be frowned upon for laying their hands on a wounded companion

I know what I did wrong. I have the keys from Irenicus' dungeon and guess I just skipped over them somehow, dang. I don't have the actual wands, but the keys... :o :o

Do you mean that group of objects you got from the statues in the room past Irenicus' torture chamber? Those are wands, as well as "keys" to disarming the room's traps.

See if you can put them in the object use area for any character in your party, especially a mage, sorc, or bard. Those should work. I don't advise using the wands, however, because each only has one charge at the moment. Save them, go questing, get some cash, save the game, then sell one to a merchant and see how much cash he requires to sell it back to you, fully charged.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
