I am wondering how good my party will be for IWD and HoW.
Male Elf, Fighter/Mage, Neutral Good. Str-18/40, Dex-18 Con-17 Int-15
Uses Axes and Crossbows.
Male Dwarf, Fighter/Cleric, Lawfull Good. Str-18/01, Dex-17 Con-19 Wis 16
Blunt Weapons and Slings.
Male Human, Thief(I plan to duel class to fighter at level 10), Chaotic Good. Str/Dex/Con-18 Uses Swords and Bows.
How much difficulty will I have with this party, and does anyone have any advice for playing it.
How much trouble will I have?

Creating more powerful characters would make the game easier. With 18/00 strength you could carry more, hit better and do more damage for example.
But the game is playable with those 3 characters without getting into too much trouble.
The mage has only 15 int, but you can use save and reload for successfull scroll scribing and you can boost int temporarily with potions for memorizing all spells. But since there aren't too many of those potions make sure to wait until you've quite some additional spells to scribe before drinking them (or simply only learn teh spells you're going to cast).
Character 1 could cast the strength spell on the first 2 characters for long lasting improved combat power if you get a lucky roll.

Your stats are already considerably better than those of the pregenerated characters and rolling better ones shouldn't be too difficult.
For the thief 18 in all physical stats can be achieved with any roll, you can even get 18 cha too without any trouble.
For the dwarf fighter/cleric you can dump int and cha to the minimum so getting 18 wis and more than 18/50 str shouldn't be that hard to roll.
The fighter/mage is a harder to roll, but since you can dump wis and cha to the minimum better stats shouldn't be impossible.
But if you don't have trouble playing the game with your characters there'S no need to change them.
