Alignment question

Post by -Affinity- »

I have acquired bloody wroth, it says:

Usable by:
Neutral
Chaotic
*classes*

I have a lawful neutral drow cleric with proficiency in bastard sword and I can't equip it. Does that mean that my char has to be both chaotic and neutral?

I'm confused because I've read coineineagh's guide and he recommended using this sword with a Chaotic Evil Barb. Why can a Chaotic Evil Barb equip it when a lawful neutral cleric cannot. Bloody Wroth says its usable by cleric's too.

I have the ease-of-use patch btw.

Tnx!

I have no idea about the ease of use patch, but what you say is correct in the original.

I'm not 100% on this, since the requirement can be read in 2 ways, but I believe the neutrality requirement refers to law-chaos, rather than good-evil. Meaning a chaotic good character could use this weapon, but a lawful neutral character can't. It would've been more clear had it said "any non-lawful".
Sage plays a paladin,
because other classes would be frowned upon for laying their hands on a wounded companion

If a chaotic good char can use this? Does that mean my alignment should be chaotic-X?

What if I pick something non chaotic and non lawful, Like true neutral or neutral evil?

Non-lawful should work.
