Haven't played in a While...

Post by Mandalore72 »

I haven't played for a while... Too busy with real life and starting this up again and going to summer school. But now I want to play again and yet I don't remember how to build a good Force user/Weapon build. Something in-between.

Consular/Weapon Master. Dual Weapons, STR based, Critical Strike feats. That should bring back your dormant knowledge. ;-)

Wouldn't flurry be a better combat feat? That could be purely preference i suppose.

From a point of style, I fully agree.
I have been shown that Critical Strike is strictly speaking the better feat. For a full analysis of the two, read DSimpson's excellent guide.

Yeah, i used that guide back when i was playing K2. But IIRC, i went for flurry because i'm not the kind who likes to rely on rolls do deal the max amount of damage. Flurry is just more... consistent for me.

Hence the use of Shien.
Apart from that, I know that I myself will always have bad luck with rolls, so I too go with Flurry. (BTW, the Flurry animation wins out anyway. ;) )
Mathematicly speaking, however, Critical Strike with the right setup gives the best damage output.

No arguments there. Though Juyo has always been my preferred style. ;)

Yeah, you were right, that did awaken my dormant knowledge. Now I'm off to correct everyone else's idea about how to make a character. Now that I think about it, I'll play as a Sentinel/Weapon Master with Dual Weapons, high DEX, Weapon Finesse, Master Speed(and Valor) and toughness as well.

Thanks for the help.
