I recently installed Dungeon Siege on my AMD system running 98. I have a s3 savage 2000 64MB video card. I have 256MB of RAM.
The game loads up no problem and I am able to create a player. But after the first movie sequence in which the old guy tells me I need to start on my adventure, the game locks up completely. It stays "frozen." I have to reboot my machine.
Has anyone had this problem? Is it video? I can't find anything on the support site.
Help! Game won't start correctly

I have seen something similar at my friend's pc. He has a Viper card with 32 MB. His game will consistently freeze on him without any error message. It just frozen, can't do anything. I think there are compatability issues with certain video cards.
If you have a spare video card try to install that and see what happen.
